    Check Engine Light
Is your Jaguar XJ6 1990-1994 Check Engine Light on?

First off, you might need to actually have your engine checked. However, if you know that the engine is in good shape and you're still seeing that pesky check engine light in your Jaguar XJ6, here's a cool trick for how to turn it off.

    • Remove the passenger's side dash liner.

    • Look for the round red connector with a single pink/red wire that is hanging free.

    • Turn on the ignition but do not start the car and then press the VCM button.

    • When the code displays, use a jumper wire to short the pink/red wire to ground for 3 seconds.

    • Turn the key off for 10 seconds and then turn it back on and check for any more stored codes.

    • If there are more use the same procedure to clear them.
