"Complete" Tune-Up List
 Call it what you will, a complete tune-up should combine elements of preventive maintenance, adjustment and performance analysis. Here is a list that should be included in a "complete" tune-up.
- Replace Spark Plugs
- Replace Ignition Rotor
- Check Distributor Cap (replace if necessary)
- Check Timing (adjust if necessary)
- Check Ignition Wires (replace if necessary)
- Check Idle Speed (adjust if necessary)
- Clean Fuel Injectors
- Check Compression and/or Power Balance
- Check Manifold Intake Vacuum
- Check Battery/charging voltage
- Check Exhaust Emissions
- Check Vehicles Computer for Trouble Codes
- Replace Air Filter
- Replace Fuel Filter
- Replace PCV Valve
- Replace Oil Filter and Oil
- Check all Vital Fluid Levels (transmission, coolant, brakes, power steering)
- Check Belts and Hose (Dry or Cracking Rubber is a sign to replace them)
