| Removing the self leveling suspension on an XJ6 |
| All XJ6 Jaguars from 1990-1992 came with "hydraulic rear suspension". This system is prone to chronic leaks and failures and is best replaced with a standard coil spring and shock conversion kit (also offered by Black Dog as kit# KG9309.KIT shock conversion + JLM657 coil springs). Once the standard spring replacement kit is installed, there is no need for a "leaking "Y" pipe". Black Dog supplies all the parts to safely remove and blank off hydraulic pump, replace the "Y" pipe and seal the hydraulic fluid reservoir. Here is the procedure for removing the Hydraulic Ride Level Hose and Pump with a Block-Off Kit from Black Dog Manufacturing.
