The Land Rover G4 Challenge is back for 2008-2009. This will be the third G4 Challenge, following successful events in 2003 and 2006. This event is promise to be bigger and better than its predecessors.
According to the Media Information released by Land Rover, the G4 Challenge is an exciting global adventure competition... combining off-road driving with activities such as mountain biking, kayaking, climbing, orienteering and abseiling, pitching competitor teams against each other in tests of driving skill, initiative, strategic thinking and physical fitness. Teams of two competitors from each of the 18 entered nations will compete for victory. The Challenge Finals take place in some of the world’s truly spectacular urban and wilderness locations.
The Challenge is designed to be exciting, engaging and inspiring, and runs in support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. These environmental and humanitarian commitments will ensure that the 2008/09 Land Rover G4 Challenge leaves nothing behind but a positive lasting legacy.
This Competition will include teams from Australia, Austria, Belgium/Luxembourg, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden/Norway, Turkey, UK and the US.
