| The Jaguar X-type is soon to be NLA in the US |
 |
A Report by AutoWeek is stating that Jaguar will no longer offer the X-type sedan and wagon in the U.S. after March, this is when the much awaited new XF model goes on sale. The discontinuation in the U.S. is mainly due to the X-type's lack luster sales and increasingly tough competition in the compact premium market.. The facelifted 2009 model X-Type will still be offered overseas. |
| The New Land Rover LR2 |

 |
Land Rover's next crossover is the LR2, which is a replacement for the Freelander that was discontinued in 2005. The LR2 shares the Ford Mondeo and Volvo S80 platform and powertrain making it the first Rover to be based on a car platform.
The LR2 will take its styling from its big brother the Range Rover Sport and includes such standard features as AWD, leather seats, dual sunroofs, seven airbags, fog lights, keyless ignition, rain-sensing wipers, one-touch windows, 18-inch wheels and rear parking distance sensors. Land Rover expects to offer the LR2 some time in April starting in the mid 30s.

| Firing Order on Land Rover Engines 1999 and up |
Beginning with 1999 models, Rover used the Bosch Engine Management system on all V8 applications. Unfortunately, the ignition coils in the system are prone to premature failure. When replacing the failed ignition coils many DIY'ers and Techs alike fail to mark the plug wires and/or forget their correct locations during reassembly.
More often than not, this scenario results in a call from a terribly frustrated and panic-stricken owner or mechanic that says, “Quick, can you tell me what the firing order is on my Rover? I just replace the coils and I can’t remember where the wires go!”
The firing order is the same as it’s always been, 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. But thats really not what your looking for. Unless you have access to a Rave Disk, the position of the plug wires in the coils is a difficult thing to find an illustration of, Motorcars to the rescue!
If you are standing at the front bumper and looking back over the engine compartment, the ignition coils are mounted behind the intake plenum on the bulkhead. Hard to get to, and the recommended method requires the removal of the upper intake plenum. (Don’t forget to replace the gasket.)
There are two coils, each accommodating 4 spark plug wires. And obviously they are arranged in sequence so that the engine fires in order. So looking at the coils, the top row, from the right (passengers) side to the drivers side are numbered 1-6-5-8, and the bottom row is 7-4-3-2. or,
1-6-5-8
7-4-3-2

| Jaguar Upper Shock Replacment Bushings from Motorcars LTD |
 |
The Jaguar XJ8's factory upper shock mount bushings are prone to premature failure causing general degredation in suspension stability and unwanted vibration and clatter.
When it comes time to replace the factory shock mount bushings, you'll be surprised to learn that replacement bushings are not available from Jaguar! Instead, customers are forced to buy a complete shock-mount plate assembly at a much higher price.
Our new Jaguar Upper Shock Bushing Kit replaces the stock "spongey" bushings with a higher-quality, longer lasting urethane bushing utilizing the existing shock-plate assembly. The added expense and trouble of the factory solution is history.Fits: XJ8 1998-2003 models

The human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. Naturally it attacks the slowest
and the weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. We should all be a lot smarter on New Year's Eve!
